This website is operated by Bengali CineClub Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 86 632 877 911) ("Bengali CineClub," "we," "us"). This site is intended for use by people located in Australia.

These Terms govern your use of this site and any purchase of movie tickets, event tickets, merchandise, or other products through it — whether for our cinema screenings or our concerts and live events. By using this site or purchasing from it, you accept these Terms in full.

 

Eligibility

• There is no general age restriction on purchasing through this site. However, where you purchase a ticket to a classified film screening, you (and anyone you're purchasing for) must meet the age requirement set by that film's classification rating. We may request proof of age at entry and can refuse admission if that requirement isn't met.

• For concerts and live events, ticket purchasers should generally be 18 or older; where a minor is attending, a parent or guardian should complete the booking on their behalf.

 

Use of This Site

• You agree not to use this site for any unlawful purpose or in a way that breaches these Terms. We may refuse any order or deny access to the site at our discretion, where we reasonably believe your conduct breaches the law, these Terms, or the rights of Bengali CineClub or others.

 

Intellectual Property

• All content on this site — including graphics, logos, film clips, photography, video, and text — is protected by Australian and international copyright and trademark law. You may view and share this content for personal, non-commercial use, but may not reproduce, modify, or redistribute it commercially without our prior written permission.

• The Bengali CineClub name and logo are our trademarks and may not be used in connection with any other business or service without our written consent.

 

Your Privacy

• Our Privacy Policy, available at bengalicineclub.com/privacy-policy, forms part of these Terms and explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information — including, for film screenings, any age-verification information collected under classification requirements.

• By using this site or purchasing tickets, you consent to us collecting and using your information as described in our Privacy Policy, including for event-related communications and direct marketing.

• We may contact you via email and SMS regarding your ticket purchase, screening or event updates, and important announcements. You can opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP, or unsubscribe from emails using the link in each message.

 

Purchasing Movie Tickets

• Movie tickets are made available subject to the classification given by the Office of Film and Literature Classification. By purchasing, you confirm that you (and anyone you're purchasing for) meet the age requirement for that classification. We may request photo ID at entry and can refuse entry where this requirement isn't met.

• Movie tickets may be purchased in person at the venue (cash or card) or online through this site. Prices shown online include GST where applicable.

• Movie tickets, whether purchased in person or online, are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, except where required by Australian Consumer Law. No refund is given for a simple change of mind.

 

Purchasing Event and Concert Tickets

• Event and concert tickets are sold exclusively through this site's online ticketing. All prices are shown in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.

• Ticket confirmations are sent by email, and updates may also be sent via SMS to the phone number provided at checkout.

• Event tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, except where required by Australian Consumer Law. No refund is given for a simple change of mind.

• We reserve the right, at our discretion, to refuse to sell tickets to any person, or to withdraw tickets from sale prior to a screening or event.

 

Seat Allocation

Where a screening or event uses reserved seating, seats are allocated either by your selection at checkout or on a best-available basis. By purchasing a ticket, you agree that:

• (a) you will accept the seat allocated to your ticket;

• (b) we do not guarantee a specific seat, row, or section beyond what is confirmed at the time of purchase; and

• (c) our team may, where necessary, reallocate seating at their discretion (for example, for accessibility or safety reasons).

 

Promotions and Competitions

• From time to time we may run competitions or promotional offers through this site or our partners. Participation in any such promotion is subject to its own specific terms, made available at the time, and to our Privacy Policy.

 

Links to Other Websites

• This site may link to third-party websites, including those of our event partners and sponsors. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content or practices. A link does not imply our endorsement. Any use of a linked website is at your own risk.

 

Limitation of Liability

• Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to those rights, and to the extent permitted by law, this site and its content are provided "as is," and we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site. Where our liability cannot be fully excluded, it is limited, at our option, to resupplying the relevant service or refunding its cost.

 

Your Responsibility

• If you breach these Terms or any applicable law and this causes us loss or cost, you agree to indemnify Bengali CineClub and its officers, employees, and agents for that loss.

 

Changes to These Terms

• These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. We may update them from time to time; continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

 

Conditions of Entry — Cinema Screenings

• Proof of age: Photo ID may be required for MA15+ and R18+ rated screenings.

• No recording: Recording or attempting to record a film is a serious criminal offence and will be reported to police.

• No outside food or drink from outside the venue's screening area.

• Silent alarms and surveillance may be in use for guest and staff safety.

 

Conditions of Entry — Concerts and Live Events

 

• Your ticket: All guests must hold a valid ticket and may be asked to present it for inspection.

• Respect for others: Please be considerate of fellow guests, and switch phones to silent during performances.

• Bag checks: Venue staff may inspect bags on entry; prohibited items include outside food/drink, glass, weapons, and laser pointers unless otherwise stated.

• Photography and filming: Our events may be photographed or recorded for promotional use. By attending, you consent to your image or voice appearing in this material. Let a staff member know if you'd prefer not to be included.

• Personal belongings: We are not responsible for lost or damaged property at our events.

 

Our Rights

We reserve the right to refuse entry, or to ask a guest to leave without refund, where these conditions are breached; to inspect bags; and to request identification where required by film classification or venue policy.
